General Rules

Hello and welcome to Fairy Tail Utopia. This is a non-canon Fairy Tail RPG in which you get to create a character and roleplay your actions in the land of Fiore, which the anime and manga take place. Since this is a NON-CANON RP, roleplaying as characters directly from the Fairy Tail universe is banned. (Natsu, Gray, Erza, etc. etc.) It is also expected that these characters or any other from the Fairy Tail universe do not appear in your character application. Just clearing that up. Anyway, here are some general guidelines you need to follow!

BEHAVIOR RULES

• Thou shalt not show disrespect, bias or hate towards other roleplayers, NPCs, and guests. This rule does not imply that you have to like everyone- it is understandable as we are all human beings and we are not all expected to be friends with all of the people around us. This, however, does not mean you can insult them or disrespect them in any way through roleplaying. 
  
• Thou shalt not swear or curse excessively in an RP post or the chatbox. Since in typical animes and mangas swearing occurs this is tolerable but not to the extent where every other word that pops out of your mouth is a dirty one.
  
• Thou shalt not flame users or start flame wars inside the chatbox or in threads. Debates may occur as long as nobody gets hurt. If it is really *that* serious, take it to PMs.
  
• Thou shalt not be racist. 'Nuff said.
  
• If any of these sins are committed you will lose a warning bar and depending on the circumstances lose chatbox previleges for a certain period of time.
  

ACCOUNT RULES

• Your username should be your character's first or whole name e.g Shiro or Shiro Takahashi. 
  
• Your character needs to be registered in the Character Registration area. Details on that are located in the workshop section.
  
• You may have as many alternate characters, or Alts, as you wish, provided they stay active.
  
• Said Alts may not start at a higher rank than D, however.
  

POSTING RULES

• Length is an important factor here. Your RP posts MUST MUST MUST exceed 200 words at the minimum. This counts for exit posts as well. Any violations of this will be punished by first a warning, then a loss of a warning bar, which can be recovered after one month by pming an admin, if all three warning bars are loss, Your account will be banned for 3 months.
  
• An unapproved character may not post in an RP thread or start his own.
  
• A character may not use unapproved or untrained magics in his threads, unless said untrained magics are currently being trained in the thread.
  
• Do not metagame. What is metagaming, you may ask? Metagaming is when a player utilizes information gained OOC in a thread as if he learned it ICly. This is unfair towards other RPers and violations of this rule will be punished.
  
• A character is limited to only being in 4 threads and each of those must be in the same location.
  
• In the event that a person is roleplaying with another and they do not post after 48 hours that same person can post again. UNLESS there is a valid reason to their inability to post.
